Your Coach
I'm a physician, certified personal trainer, and nutrition coach — but the reason I built Destination Coaching goes deeper than a resume. I know what it's like to feel underserved, unseen, and out of place in mainstream fitness culture.
My Story
As a young person, I struggled with obesity and insulin resistance. No matter what I tried (and I've tried everything), the weight came back. As a physician working 80 hours a week, my weight climbed to its highest ever. Like many, I was overweight and unhealthy not because I lacked willpower or self-discipline, but because advice was generic, disconnected, and often completely misaligned with my goals.
Being queer, I also experienced how fitness culture can feel exclusionary and, at times, unsafe. The hypermasculine, performative side of the industry never resonated with me — and I know it doesn't resonate with a lot of the men I want to help. On the other side, online influencers train for clicks and affiliate links - not realistic results or sustainable change.
Fast forward to 2023. Sick of carrying over 250 pounds across the finish line at a half-marathon, I made the choice to go on a GLP-1. Losing weight was great, but there was no plan for after. That's because clinics make money writing prescriptions and subscriptions, not preventing relapse. Thanks to my own coach, I no longer watch the scale, I'm eating well, and I'm in the best shape of my life.
Destination Coaching is the practice I wish had existed when I needed it. It's built on medical rigor, genuine inclusion, and the belief that every person deserves a coach who actually sees them.
How I Work
Every recommendation is grounded in science, not trends. As an MD, I hold myself to a clinical standard of evidence.
LGBTQ+ affirming isn't a marketing tag here — it's how I practice. You don't have to explain yourself to work with me. And if you're straight, you're welcome here too!
Quick fixes don't last. We build habits, systems, and a relationship with your body that serves you for life.
Your body doesn't exist in isolation. Sleep, stress, hormones, identity — they all matter, and we address them all.
